About the scholarship
The Maori Trustee administers the Maori Soldier's Trust in accordance with the Maori Soldier's Trust Act 1957 under which there is provision for funding the Sir Apirana Ngata Memorial Scholarship.

Entry requirements
Applications are open to all Maori but in line with the Maori Soldier's trust Act 1957, where practicable preference will be given to descendants of Maori World War 1 veterans.
The Scholarships may be available to students wishing to obtain in any field and the successful candidates will be required to complete a paper on a subject relevant to the Maori Soldier's Trust, e.g., economics, business, farming, forestry, management, valuation.
Preference will be given to students in the final year of their tertiary study.
