About the scholarship
This scholarship was established by Andrew Mason, a widely admired book editor and literary editor of the New Zealand Listener in the 1980s. It also acknowledges Andrew Mason’s father, Malcolm Mason, who was involved in publishing as chair of Reed Publishing in the 1960s and 1970s and was the author of three books.
