About the scholarship
The Open Polytechnic recognises the time, money and commitment required to study and offers a contribution of financial support for the successful applicants.
Through offering this award, the Open Polytechnic acknowledges the value of the future academic achievements and contributions that these recipients will make, both to the recipients family and to the wider community.
The value of each award is made at the discretion of the panel and is dependent upon the availability of funds and the financial needs of particular applicants.

Your application will be assessed on the information provided in your application form and your academic history. If you have failed previously yet have shown improvement and success in subsequent courses, you can also be considered. You may be contacted for further information.
Entry requirements
Applicants must:
Be of Pacific Island heritage. Be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents living in New Zealand Have a successful academic history with Open Polytechnic. Be enrolled in an Open Polytechnic programme at Level 5 or above Completed at least 120 credits in the qualification they are currently enrolled.
