About the scholarship
The Be.Employed Internship programme is a programme dedicated to developing meaningful employment relationships between leading employers and young access citizens. The programme is one of a suite of Be.Accessible programmes dedicated to creating a 100% accessible New Zealand.
The programme will provide tertiary students with disabilities, or access needs, with meaningful work experience in a fully funded internship placement.

Entry requirements
- Are in their penultimate or last year of tertiary study
- Registered with their tertiary institute's disability support/resource services
- Are not to be on leave of absence from study
- Legally entitled to work in New Zealand
- Have a disability or health condition that has been present for more than six months, that is expected to last more than four years
- Have limited work history (less than two years)
- Are eligible for Ministry benefits
- Are NOT in receipt of ACC weekly compensation
