About the scholarship
Maori and Pasifika Trades Training Scholarships is a government-led training initiative whereby scholarships are granted to members of the Maori and Pacific Island communities.
If you are aged 16-40, of Maori or Pasifika descent, you are invited to apply for a Trades Training Scholarship. Scholarships recipients will receive free tuition for one year at either Whitireia or WelTec.
How To Apply
• Complete an Application to Enrol form for the chosen trades programme at WelTec or Whitireia. • Complete this Scholarship Application form and post to WelTec or Whitireia. • Postal and delivery address are noted on the back of this form.
Entry requirements
You must be: • Of Maori or Pasifika descent • 16-40 years of age at the start of your study • A New Zealand citizen or New Zealand permanent resident • Able to meet the entry criteria of the programme
