About the scholarship
These scholarships are available for people who are either proficient or fluent in te reo Maori, have a depth of life and work experience, and who wish to change careers to work as a secondary teacher, or currently have Limited Authority to Teach and wish to study to become a qualified teacher.
Entry requirements
Applicants must:
*be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident *be changing career to become a qualified teacher, or have Limited Authority to Teacher *have applied to enrol into an approved Graduate Diploma/Master of Secondary Teaching *have proficiency in te reo Maori to a level that meets the requirements of the tertiary provider *have leadership experience *have support from iwi and/or Maori leaders in the community
