About the scholarship
Ngai Tahu Tourism is again running its Te Pia Tapoi scholarship for Ngai Tahu students studying a tourism qualification.
This is an opportunity for a person of Ngai Tahu descent who is either starting or already studying a tourism qualification and would like support with study fees (up to $6000 per year for three years), the chance to get paid holiday work and invaluable work experience, and to learn more about their iwi.

Entry requirements
Students must: · be registered with the Ngai Tahu whakapapa unit · be enrolling or currently studying an NZQA approved tertiary qualification in tourism · have a satisfactory academic record or suitable personal references · be available to work in either Queenstown, Rotorua or Franz Josef during the summer holiday period · have an interest in working in the tourism sector · be committed to participating in a cultural programme be committed to learn or improve te reo Maori skills
