About the scholarship
Nga Pae o te Maramatanga (NPM) is committed to building Maori research capability and capacity and improving Maori research career pathways, and in particular in te reo me nga tikanga Maori. A new and further NPM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF) has been created that will contribute towards this goal.

Entry requirements
*Applications for NPM Postdoctoral Fellowships are open to individuals with a proven track record of academic excellence. *Applicants should be New Zealand citizens or hold residency in New Zealand at the time of application and be of Maori descent. *Applicants must hold a Doctor of Philosophy or an equivalent degree. *However, applications will be accepted from persons who have submitted their thesis but have not yet received results of their thesis examination. If their PDRF application is successful, the award and commencement of the Fellowship will be conditional on awarding of the degree. *Applicants would normally have received their doctoral degree in the past 5 years. *The successful applicants must take up the fellowship by 1 November 2018 but ideally earlier.
