About the scholarship

CPA Australia is offering up to two scholarships annually for students of Maori descent. The scholarships will be awarded each October to the best-qualified applications based on tertiary academic results and will assist recipients to meet education requirements needed to attain CPA status. Scholarship recipients will be exempt from all CPA Program subject fees and first year membership fees as an Associate (ASA).

Entry requirements

-To be eligible, applicants must provide evidence that they have been recognised from Maori descent. -Applicants must be studying towards the requirements to join CPA Australia as an ASA. -They must have completed a minimum of one year's study, and two subjects as part of a CPA-accredited course. To enrol in the CPA Program, applicants must hold as a minimum a New Zealand bachelor’s degree that is accredited by CPA Australia or an overseas bachelor’s degree that CPA Australia has assessed as being comparable to a New Zealand bachelor’s degree. -Applicants may need to complete additional accredited units to meet ASA membership requirements. -Applicants can apply to join CPA Australia before their tertiary results are finalised. -A list of accredited courses can be found at cpacareers.com.au/searchcourses
