About the scholarship
The Share 2 Care Single Parent Scholarship is intended to provide support for single parents from the Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology (Toi Ohomai) rohe (Bay of Plenty and South Waikato) to achieve qualifications.
Share 2 Care is a Tauranga-based initiative set up to help single parents in supported living solutions. Their aim is to enable new single parents to give their child stability while they educate themselves.
This award is for applicants who are single parents about to embark on their final year of study at diploma or degree level at Toi Ohomai.
Entry requirements
In all cases, the scholarship will depend on the individual continuing to meet the academic requirements of their Toi Ohomai course. Applicants must be in their final year of study at Toi Ohomai (either the second year of a diploma, or the third year of a degree) in any discipline.
Applications are open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents only.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate sustained achievement in their course of study. The personal and financial circumstances of applicants will also be considered.
Preference will be given to students from the Toi Ohomai rohe (Bay of Plenty and South Waikato).
