How To Apply

Firstly, you'll need to register your intention to submit an application for one of these fellowships and then complete your registration online via HRC Gateway. After registration, you'll need to submit a full application online via HRC Gateway using the templates provided below. The final step is to send a hardcopy of your full application to the HRC.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for one of our Maori postdoctoral fellowships, you'll need to be a New Zealand citizen or hold residency in New Zealand, and be of Maori descent. You'll also need to hold the degree of doctor of philosophy (or an equivalent degree), have a proven track record of research in the area of Maori health development, and ideally have no more than five years' postdoctoral experience. If you haven't received the results from your thesis examination, you can still apply - in this case, any fellowship you may receive will be conditional on you being awarded the degree. (Please note: you must have submitted your thesis for examination at the time of your application.)
