About the scholarship
The scholarships and have been set up for young people from the Gore District who may be commencing study in a Council relevant area, with the opportunity for paid work experience with the Council during holiday breaks. The scholarships will be available to young people who can prove they are dedicated to studying, with a clear vision of the goals they want to achieve, and a passion for making a difference.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be: • school leavers aged 19 years or younger, on 31 December 2018, residing within the Gore District, who are going on to study at a tertiary level, at a New Zealand university, or an education provider that is recognised by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA); • able to demonstrate their talent, dedication and passion for reaching their goals; and • aiming to make a positive difference within the Gore community through their field of study or training.
