About the scholarship
The Eastern Bay Energy Trust launced its scholarship programme in 2003 and since then has awarded 72 scholarships for pre-trade, diploma and degree study in energy related fields.

Entry requirements
Candidates must:
• be entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree (Heavy Power option)
Candidates must be aged between 16 and 25 years, New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, and they or their parents must be electricity consumers within the Whakatane, Kawerau or Opotiki District Council areas or Kaingaroa Village.
