About the scholarship
The Margaret Hetley Scholarship is awarded annually in February and was established to assist women to undertake tertiary study and to commemorate the centennial year of the women’s suffrage movement. It was named in memory of Mrs Margaret Hetley who gifted the EIT campus to the Hawke’s Bay community.

Entry requirements
The scholarship is for all females enrolling at EIT Hawke’s Bay at any level, limited to students who have been resident in Hawke’s Bay for the last 12 months and must be a New Zealand resident. It will be awarded on the basis of qualities and attributes that would enable them to succeed and possibly staircase into higher academic programmes.
