About the scholarship
Postdoctoral Fellowships in Maori health research are intended for the support of outstanding graduates who have recently completed a degree at doctoral level and who propose to conduct research in scientific fields of relevance to the HRC, 'to improve human health by promoting and funding health research. This is one of four Postdoctoral Fellowships available. Former HRC Kaumatua Dr Erihapeti Rehu-Murchie originally trained as a teacher and went to contribute to a wide range of arts, health, education organisations and statutory bodies. This postdoctoral Fellowship honours the work of Dr Erihapeti Rehu-Murchie.

Entry requirements
Applicants should be New Zealand citizens or non-New Zealand citizens with New Zealand residency at the time of application and identify as Maori. Applicants must hold a degree of Doctor of Philosophy or an equivalent degree.
