About the scholarship
Trustees welcome applications from young people aged 16 to 23 years who need assistance with a project or undertaking that may not fit the usual kind of endeavour for which funding may be sought. The best applicants are shortlisted for interview.
Entry requirements
l. Applicants must be aged between 16 and 23 years. 2. Applicants or their parents must live within the Rotary District 9940, which covers Waitara to Wellington in the west and Dannevirke to Featherston and the Hutt in the east, and also the Waimarino area. 3. Due to fund limitations, applications for normal tertiary education expenses cannot be considered i.e. fees, books, accommodation and the like. We are, however, happy to consider requests for funds to help students with physical disabilities or medical problems, in meeting the cost of the likes of special accommodation, transport or study equipment.
