About the scholarship
These awards are provided by the Ngati Whakaue Education Endowment Trust Board (The Board), which is a statutory body with charitable status. The Endowment was established in1880 as a free gift by the people of Ngati Whakaue for the purposes of secondary education in Rotorua.
To enhance the legacy of Ngati Whakaue Tupuna by the responsible and effective management of the endowment and the provision of financial support to the beneficiaries of the Trust for Educational purposes, that add value and benefit to our community.
How To Apply
The online form will open mid-late January, closing end of April.
Entry requirements
The Board will recognise only those applicants who are:
- Ngati Whakaue descendants of an original owner in the Pukeroa Oruawhata Block. (A list is available
from the website). or
- descendants of one or more of the 6 Koromatua of Ngati Whakaue.(Information of Koromatua also
available from the website).
