About the scholarship
The Ministry for Primary Industries wishes to encourage the pursuit of joint mathematics/statistics and marine biology degrees at the undergraduate level. The Ministry of Primary Industries wishes to support the study of mathematics/statistics and marine biology at the undergraduate level.
How To Apply
o apply, an application form, covering letter and transcript should be sent to [email protected] by November 30. The covering letter should include short descriptions of courses taken and proposed for the next year as well as statements about the candidates' future aspirations.
Entry requirements
Up to Six scholarships ($5,000 each) will be available to New Zealand citizens or permanent residents, to support the final year of an undergraduate degree. Students will be eligible to apply if their degree will include: • a minimum of 1 statistics or mathematics course in 2nd year, and • 2 statistics or mathematics courses, as well as a marine biology course in 3rd year.
Applicants with an applied quantitative background will be favoured.
