About the scholarship
Pukaha Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre is a unique community partnership between Rangitane o Wairarapa, the Department of Conservation and the community which is administered through the Pukaha Mount Bruce Board where all partners are represented. Elwin Welch was a founding Trustee of the National Wildlife Centre Trust and was renowned for his work in relation to Takahe. The Department of Conservation was a recipient of a bequest from the Estate of Ville Anderson for the purposes of benefitting native birds in the Tararua Ranges. The Department has made available funds for investment by the Board with part of the interest on the investment being available to establish this scholarship.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be enrolled in full time study at Victoria University and undertaking either an Honours research project, Master’s by Thesis or PhD.
