Length | Scholarships will normally be tenable for three years. For a student who has already been enrolled for a Doctorate at Victoria for more than three months at the time when the offer of a Scholarship is made, the maximum length of tenure of the Scholarship will be reduced at the discretion of the Research Scholarships Committee. |

About the scholarship
To encourage Maori & Pasific postgraduate research students into doctoral studies. These scholarships are awarded on academic merit and all Maori & Pasific applicants for the Victoria Doctoral Scholarships will be considered.
How To Apply
By apply for a Victoria Doctoral Scholarship; eligible applicants will automatically be considered for a Guaranteed Maori and Pasifika Doctoral Scholarship.
Entry requirements
The Scholarships are open to graduates of any New Zealand university who intend to enrol full time for a Doctorate (PhD) at Victoria University or who have commenced their doctoral study at Victoria University. These scholarships will be for Maroi and Pasifika applicants who have achieved a GPA of 7.5 or above in their prerequisite degree which has been completed within 12 months prior to application. Those applicanst who have completed outside the 12 months will be considered on an individual merit basis.
