About the scholarship
GS1 is a global, not for profit organisation specialising in the development and maintenance of standards for use in supply chains - for the identification and exchange of information about goods. GS1 standards are behind such everyday objects as the bar code, electronic product codes, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technologies. These standards help to improve efficiency and visibility in supply and demand chains, both globally and across industry sectors. GS1 standards are used by millions of companies in dozens of sectors including transportation and logistics, aeronautics, defence, healthcare, chemical supply and retail.
