About the scholarship
The New Zealand Federation of Graduate Women (NZFGW) is a non-profit, charitable non-government organisation that was established in 1922. Our members use their expertise to work locally, nationally, and internationally to improve the status of women and girls. New Zealand branches hire academic regalia for graduation ceremonies, to raise funds for scholarships, grants, and awards to promote lifelong education and to enable graduate women to use their expertise to effect positive change.
How To Apply
- New PhD applicants should complete the PhD Admission and Scholarship ‘Application Form’ available from http://www.victoria.ac.nz/fgr/prospective-phds/applying.aspx and clearly indicate they wish to apply for the NZFGW (Wellington Branch) PhD Scholarship.
- Applicants will be asked to supply all documentation listed on the ‘Application Form.’
- ‘Application Forms’ must be submitted to the Scholarships Office by the due date.
Entry requirements
The ideal candidate will be an exceptional woman who will make a significant contribution to the advancement of women's academic achievement in New Zealand. The successful applicant will be expected to contribute fully to the economic and social fabric and performance of the country through the knowledge contribution of her doctoral studies and her on-going leadership influence post completion.
