About the scholarship
BDO (Wellington) Limited established the BDO Scholarship in Accountancy in 2008. Sarah Carter was a graduate accountant working for BDO in Wellington when she tragically died whilst on holiday in Thailand in 2011. BDO (Wellington) renamed this scholarship in her memory. The value of the Scholarship is currently $2,000, to be paid in two instalments of $1,000 in April and August of the year it is awarded. There may also be the possibility of an internship for a suitable candidate
Entry requirements
The Scholarship is offered to students majoring in accountancy and embarking on their third year of study towards a BCA at Victoria University of Wellington
- The applicant must not be a previous winner of the Scholarship.
- The applicant must be a New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident.
- The Scholarship recipient may receive this and other awards simultaneously.
