About the scholarship
The Herbert Sutcliffe Hardship Scholarships were established in 1989 to support students facing financial hardship, particularly those from under-represented groups at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. The scholarships provide financial assistance to help students continue their studies in the fields of Education, Humanities, and Music.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled full time at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be an undergraduate student, studying a BA, BEd, BMus or BA (Hons) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
