About the scholarship
Established in 1989, the Herbert Sutcliffe Hardship Scholarships provide financial support to students facing financial hardship, particularly those from under-represented groups at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Four scholarships are available, each valued at $7,500 for one year.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled full time at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be an undergraduate student, studying a BA, BEd, BMus or BA (Hons) at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship. A completed online application must be submitted by 4:30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4:30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
