About the scholarship
This scholarship has been established by Lloyd Geering in memory of his wife Elaine Geering. Elaine, who was undertaking a PhD in English Literature at Victoria University of Wellington up until the time of her death in 2001, was particularly interested in Old English and Medieval Literature. The purpose is to assist any Honours, Masters or PhD students undertaking courses/research in the English department at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be a student enrolled in Honours, Masters or PhD undertaking courses/research in the English department at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
