About the scholarship
Founded by Jane Ferguson in 1941, this scholarship assists female orphans of academic merit to continue their studies when their financial or other circumstances would prevent them from doing so. The scholarship is intended for New Zealand citizens who are female students and orphans by the death of one or both parents.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Applicants must be female students who are orphans by the death of one or both parents. Applicants must be New Zealand citizens and have outstanding academic ability and strong moral character.
