About the scholarship
Founded by Jane Ferguson in 1941, this scholarship assists female orphans of academic merit to continue their studies when their financial or other circumstances would prevent them from doing so. The scholarship is intended to support domestic female students who are orphans due to the death of one or both parents.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be female students who are orphans by the death of one or both parents. They must be New Zealand citizens with outstanding academic ability and strong moral character.
