About the scholarship
This scholarship was established through the generosity of Margaret Nielsen to assist first year BMus students majoring in Classical Musical Performance at the New Zealand School of Music, Victoria University of Wellington. Selection is based on musical ability and financial need. Preference may be given to a student studying a particular instrument or instruments nominated by the Head of School. Recipients must demonstrate engagement and contribute to the community and environment of the New Zealand School of Music.
How To Apply
A completed online application must be submitted by 4.30 pm on the closing date. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. Any required supporting documentation (including references) must also be received by 4.30 pm on the closing date in order for the application to be considered.
Applications will normally open one month prior to the closing date.

Entry requirements
Applicants must be currently enrolled full time in an undergraduate degree at the New Zealand School of Music. Applicants must be in their first year of a BMus majoring in Classical Musical Performance. Applicants must be experiencing financial hardship.
