About the scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2017 by Peter Densem from Tauranga marking the year he turned 100. Mr Densem was a teacher and principal and served in World War II as a Fleet Air Arm navigator.
We're looking for talented, high-achieving students who would otherwise struggle to pay for their study.
This is a postgraduate scholarship. You will already have completed your first year of study towards a PhD or a 240-credit master’s degree with a focus on agriculture or horticulture.
When choosing our recipients, we will consider your academic achievements, work ethic and financial need.
How To Apply
Applications close on the 3 March in the year in which the award is to be made. Application forms (ASSC.2) can be downloaded here. Completed applications are to be sent to Dr Kerry Harrington, [email protected]. Alternatively, hard copy applications can be delivered to Dr Kerry Harrington’s office AH 302..
All applications are acknowledged by email. Applications will NOT be accepted more than 3 months in advance of the closing date.
Entry requirements
Candidates must be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate programme in the field of Agriculture or Horticulture at Massey University, and must have completed their first year of the programme.
