About the scholarship
This scholarship is supported by Seddon Memorial Technical College alumni and other donors. The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise an academically able student who is making a positive contribution to the community and to encourage them to study at Honours, course work Master's or Postgraduate Diploma level at AUT University.
How To Apply
Application is through the AUT online scholarship application portal. A link will be available by the beginning of March from the link above. Applicants are expected to upload: • Academic transcripts for tertiary study other than that completed at AUT • A brief outline of their community contribution and/or activities (Max. one A4 page) Applicants must nominate one referee in the portal. This referee must be a person of standing in the applicant’s area of community involvement who will attest the community contribution and or involvement. If not already enrolled in an Honours, course work Master’s or Postgraduate Diploma programme, proof of eligibility to enrol in the programme
Entry requirements
Applicants must: Be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident Have completed a Bachelor's programme at AUT or be enrolled in his/her final year of a Bachelor's programme at AUT Be enrolled in an Honours, course work Master's or Postgraduate Diploma programme at AUT in Semester 1 of the year of application. Demonstrate academic achievement Demonstrate positive contribution to his/her community Not be in receipt of any other fees scholarship for the same programme of study
