About the scholarship
The Sir George Elliot Charitable Trust was established in 1956. It has over the years supported many different community initiatives and projects. These have included the development of local hospices, the provision of facilities for the care of the elderly, the development of community facilities such as information centres, halls, large theatre complexes, and so on. Various schools have received support for projects related to the extension of facilities that can also be used by the community.
Entry requirements
Having identified an appropriate candidate, any secondary school in the Auckland region can apply. We accept one application per school per year.

academic success contribution to community future leadership potential has faced challenges in their personal or family circumstances.
