Otago Polytechnic Art and Community Connections Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognise and celebrate the connections between art and the wider national and international community, and its ability to reflect and engage with societal issues. It is in place to acknowledge the work of an artist who is undertaking (or intends to undertake) postgraduate study in a context that connects with community projects and / or issues. Our postgraduate programmes offer candidates a space in which ideas can be manufactured through processes of making and writing undertaken in close conversation. It is a space in which candidates can test themselves against a rigorous community of peers and supervisors and reach out to the wider national and international community towards professional opportunities for their future.
