About the scholarship
Rose Hellaby, visionary and benefactor, born 1886 and died aged 91 in 1974. In 1969 Rose established the Maori Education Fund with New Zealand Guardian Trust (now Perpetual Guardian) to provide education opportunities for Maori children and young adults.

Entry requirements
To assist Year 9 Maori students with the purchase of school uniform or textbooks. Available to students with demonstrated financial need, academic ability and aptitude.
