Hawke's Bay
The Hawke's Bay is a region on the east coast of the North Island. The main urban centres of the region are Napier and Hastings. The region is renowned for its horticulture, with large vineyards and orchards on the plains. Hawke's Bay is home to New Zealand's first space launch complex, Rocket Lab's orbital launch site, Launch Complex 1, is located on the M-ühia peninsula.
The Hawke's Bay climate is warm and dry with long and hot summers. The region is popular with locals as summer destination, particularly with the beautiful rolling hills that fold down onto the golden beaches.
