New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding
NZQF Level 4

About the course

The purpose of this qualification is to provide the scaffolding sector with people who are competent to operate as qualified tradespeople at an intermediate level within the scaffolding training pathway.

This qualification is the second step in the scaffolding training pathway and is suitable for people who have achieved the General Scaffolding strand of the New Zealand Certificate in Scaffolding (Level 3) [Ref: 2361]. Graduates will be ready to apply for the following scaffolding competence endorsements as specified in the Health and Safety in Employment (HSE) Regulations 1995:

Advanced Certificate
C. Barrow ramp
F. Catch net
G. Hoist (load not exceeding 250 kilograms)
J. Mast climbers
L. Scaffolding associated with perimeter safety screens or shutters
N. Spurred scaffolds.

Graduates of this qualification will be able to work independently and/or supervise or lead others.
