About the course

Become a fully qualified veterinary nurse. Develop and learn a range of nursing skills including clinical, surgical, hospital and diagnostic skills, both in the classroom as well as on work placement in veterinary clinics. You will be eligible to apply for registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Nursing Association.

Entry Criteria

New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology (Veterinary Nursing Assistant) Level 5 or equivalent.

All students are required to undergo a Ministry of Justice criminal record check at the time of entry into the programme.

International 

Proven equivalence for Domestic Entry Requirements plus IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with no band score lower than 5.5.**
