About the course
It’s a two-year programme (students must complete year one and year two) and you’ll come out ready to start your new role. In fact, many of our students get part-time work in the industry in their second year.
This qualification meets the academic requirements of the New Zealand Institute of Building and provides entry as an affiliate member to the New Zealand Institute of Quantity Surveyors. Membership to NZIQS is free while you are a full time student.

Entry criteria
Under 20 years
50 credits at NCEA Level 2 or above with at least 12 credits in each of English, Maths and Science, or achieved a level 3 or 4 qualification in a related field. or relevant experience.
20+ years
If you’re 20 years or over, you may qualify for special admission on this programme. Contact us if you don’t meet the Under 20 entry criteria.
International students
Minimum IELTS (academic) score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent.
