About the course
This qualification is for people intending to pursue focused development in the skills, capabilities, knowledge and attributes needed to enter an industry where light, heavy and civil transport assets are used, and to further progress onto the larger vehicle assets at, the higher licence class levels.
Entry requirements
AMS Group has an open entry policy regarding sex; race; age or previous educational experience, given this is a Government funded, highly practical programme and involves what is considered a high risk industry, there are some restrictions on entry that apply as follows: • This qualification is intended for Learners who are not in employment and looking to enter employment in the commercial transport sector and/or progress to higher levels of study at levels 3 and above. • All applicants entering this programme must be 16 years of age or over at the time the programme commences. • All applicants must be able to read, write and communicate in English at a basic level.
This programme is run full-time for 16 weeks where you will spend 4 to 5 days each week participating in classroom training, self-directed study, industry site visits and work experience.
This programme is subject to learner number requirements and may be postponed to a later date or cancelled if this number is not met.
