About the course
This qualification is aimed towards learners who have an interest in working in the retail industry. The units of study will provide you with the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in communications, literacy, numeracy, and customer service. It includes both theory and practical elements with some units being delivered in a classroom setting and some through the completion of work experience in a retail environment.
Entry requirements
This is a youth qualification designed for all learners aged 16 – 19 who do not already hold a level 2 qualification You should hold 40+ level 1 credits on the NZQF or have prior experience in a retail environment. There are a limited number of adult places available at our Waipukurau campus.
Applicants must also be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
