About the course
To jump-start your career in the beauty industry, you need to learn the fundamentals of basic makeup. Begin your journey as a makeup artist with SRA’s Level 3 Fashion Makeup course. In just 17 weeks, you will learn the foundation skills and knowledge to provide a range of fashion makeup services within a variety of workplaces.
This qualification allows you to work on counters and cosmetic houses, an entry-level makeup artist or you can jump with our Level 4 Fashion Makeup artistry to master the craft and gain more skills and experience.
This course is intended for anyone (beginners, beauticians, hair stylists etc.) seeking to learn fundamental makeup techniques.
This exciting course leads to the following NZ qualification on the national framework: New Zealand Certificate in Makeup and Skincare, Level 3.

Entry requirements
At least 16 years of age (18 if international student) Have NCEA Level 1 or equivalent Have an intermediate level of oral and written English Demonstrate a genuine interest in working in the industry Have no major physical or mental disabilities (such as neck or back injuries) which could adversely affect their chances of successfully achieving the course outcomes (If an international student where English is not their first language), must have IELTS Level 5 or equivalent
