About the course
This course provides an excellent grounding for those students that are focused on becoming skilled and highly trained technicians. As well as covering the industry recognised pre-trade qualification the course also covers 87 credits at level 3 which allows students to earn NCEA level3. Graduates of this course are well prepared to move on to automotive apprenticeships.
Modules Covered Include: Workplace policies and safety Tools and equipment Engines and drivelines Electrical and electronic systems Brakes, steering and suspension systems

Applicants must have at least a learners' driving licence. NCEA level 2 (preferred)

Courses cover the key skills and knowledge required to enter automotive apprenticeships. Fees Free, Youth Guarantee and student loans and allowances are all available for eligible learners.
