About the course

Learn how to operate a chainsaw effectively and safely Chainsaws are extremely dangerous tools, and without proper training, things can go badly wrong. This course brings you up to official standards for using chainsaws in the workplace, necessary for a range of jobs in the forestry and farming industries.

Course Description This course is aimed at those who have experience with a chainsaw, but would like to take their knowledge, skills, and competency to the next level. Through theory and practical testing, students will prove they can handle chainsaws safely and in a working environment. There are pre-requisites for taking this course, including Unit Standard 6916 – Chainsaw Rules, so please check beforehand if you are eligible to join.
