Great baristas are worth their weight in… coffee. Now’s your time to shine!

Lots of people know how to operate a coffee machine, but only a select few can make great coffee. And those people are in hot demand! At the heart of the barista’s skills is espresso. Espresso is famous for its trickiness – and being able to make a quality espresso is a real accomplishment. Learn to make fabulous coffee every time with tips, espresso vocab, and skills. Practice making coffee on our professional espresso machines.

Course description This course will set you up with amazing barista skills for life. Learn the vocab as you practice on our professional espresso machines, discovering it’s not as easy as it looks, but mastering the technique by the end.

About the provider

Based in Hamilton, the Waikato Institute of Technology (Wintec), is one of the country’s largest institutes of technology. We deliver high-quality education across vocational (technical) and professional fields of study to approximately 13,000 students, across over 130 different courses.
