About the course

This 18-month Wellington ICT Graduate School programme is delivered by Whitireia and the Wellington Institute of Technology (WelTec). The programme has been developed to help students with an undergraduate qualification in Information Technology further develop their skills and career through Master's study. A combination of specialized IT courses, in addition to a research component are required for graduation. Students will leave with the knowledge and skills to succeed in this area of high demand and take the next step in their IT careers.

Entry requirements

All applicants should have a degree or equivalent in IT or related subject with at least a B average at level 7 (or 8) and relevant work or professional experience.

About the provider

The Wellington ICT Graduate School is an initiative developed by Wellington’s three leading tertiary establishments (Victoria University, WelTEC and Whitireia) that seeks to advance and support the development of ICT skill and talent throughout New Zealand. In 2019, five Master’s-level degrees and a Postgraduate Diploma ICT will be taught, developing students in the areas of software development, business analysis, user experience design, information technology and VFX. The Wellington ICT Grad School has a joint industry and academic board and its central team is located in downtown Wellington.
