About the course
This is a one year Wellington ICT Graduate School Programme delivered by the School of Information Management at Victoria University of Wellington. This conversion programme has been designed for graduates from a non-information systems background, who want to become business analysts. Graduates will have the technical knowledge and skills in information technology to facilitate change in organisations. They will be able to conduct data and business process analysis and organisation modelling and will have a good knowledge of current modelling tools. They will have good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and will be able to operate in environments with high levels of uncertainty. Graduates, once they have acquired sufficient work experience, should be able to obtain the Certified Business Analysis Professional(TM) (CBAP(r)) offered by the International Institute of Business Analysts.
Entry requirements
A bachelor's degree in any subject (except information systems or business analysis) to at least a B average standard, or equivalent.
About the provider
The Wellington ICT Graduate School is an initiative developed by Wellington’s three leading tertiary establishments (Victoria University, WelTEC and Whitireia) that seeks to advance and support the development of ICT skill and talent throughout New Zealand. In 2019, five Master’s-level degrees and a Postgraduate Diploma ICT will be taught, developing students in the areas of software development, business analysis, user experience design, information technology and VFX. The Wellington ICT Grad School has a joint industry and academic board and its central team is located in downtown Wellington.
