About the course
Dev Academy’s Web Development Bootcamp is an intensive, full immersion course taught by industry professionals. Anyone from coding beginners, to those with more programming experience, can graduate as a work-ready programmer after just 17 weeks.
Our programme is split into 3 stages - Foundations (6 weeks), Bootcamp (9 weeks) and Career Skills (2 weeks). Students will complete Foundations remotely (online) for the basic skills they need, then carry on to Bootcamp at one of our campuses — Auckland, Wellington, or Online. Bootcamp is a practical, hands-on education experience that’s up to date with industry needs. Students learn the latest technologies, manage projects, and programme in pairs — just like they will do on the job. They’ll also share lunches, practice yoga, and celebrate project milestones along the way.
After 9 weeks of intense coding, students graduate with a portfolio of web projects that they’ve designed and built – exactly what employers are looking for. The course concludes with a 2 week Careers Skills curriculum to help you develop the skills to land your first dev job and grow your career. Graduates can also work 1-on-1 with an industry recruiter to help with their job seeking efforts.

Entry requirements
Our course is not for the faint hearted. Be prepared to work harder than you have ever worked before. We look for individuals who have tenacity, commitment and a passion for problem solving.
We do not base our admissions on prior programming experience, and you don’t need to be good at math or science to excel in the field of web development! We’ve seen students thrive coming from a variety of backgrounds, including: Fine arts, marketing, hospitality, teaching, and even computer science graduates.
