Web Development Bootcamp

About the course

Dev Academy’s Web Development Bootcamps are 9 week intensive courses available at their Auckland and Wellington campuses. They are preceded by a preparation phase, beginning at the start of each month, which students complete independently over around 12-18 weeks. The full immersion course suits everyone from beginners to those with programming experience. The bootcamps involve practical, hands-on education that is completely up to date with industry needs. Students learn the latest technologies, manage projects and programme in pairs, just like they will do on the job. After their 9 weeks of intense coding, students graduate with a portfolio of web projects that they’ve designed and built – just what employers are looking for. 86% of Dev Academy students who graduated more than 4 months ago have work in web development, which is a creative, flexible, well-paid field both in New Zealand and around the world.

Entry requirements

Our course is not for the faint hearted. Be prepared to work harder than you have ever worked before. We look for individuals who have tenacity, commitment and a passion for problem solving. We do not base our admissions on prior programming experience, and you do not need to be good at maths or science to excel in the field of web development. Because culture is at the heart of everything we do, we look for students who will work well in a team and who fit our 3 core values: Integrity, Kindness and Effort.
