About the course
This programme is intended for people who already have a qualification or equivalent experience in their primary discipline, eg a trade, and represents the base level qualification for a professional adult and tertiary teaching practitioner.
Student learning is blended - they will learn both online and through face-to-face learning experiences. This enables students the flexibility to complete the programme while they work and enables them to contextualise learning and assessments to their role and workplace.
Students applying for this programme will need access to a minimum of six learners throughout the study period.
There are three modules to be completed. Each module is 20 credits and approximately 200 learning hours. Face-to-face classes will vary between modules: either evenings, mornings, or wānanga (some full days). In addition, students are required to complete online learning and self-directed study.
