About the course
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the rigging sector with people who are able to plan, prepare and complete rigging tasks. They will also be able to lead a team carrying out rigging activities.
Riggers work to safely set up and control the movement of loads over distance, which are usually suspended; can operate a variety of hoisting devices and rigging equipment; and are often required to operate at heights.
The purpose of the optional Construction Rigging or Telecommunications Rigging strands is to provide the sector with people who are able to carry out Construction and Telecommunication rigging tasks.
Graduates of this qualification will be capable of working autonomously without supervision.
