About the course

A graduate of the Certificate in Digital Design (Graphics) will have the ability to work in the capacity of Junior Mac Operator or Production Designer in the print, graphic design and publishing fields, having developed generic design skills and discipline specific competencies as follows: Generic design skills; Access, analyse, evaluate and use new and existing visual and textual information to support effective design thinking; Demonstrate effective use of the elements and principles of visual language in graphic design communication; Think logically, critically and creatively; Work as a constructive team member, and work autonomously; Demonstrate effective skills in computer and software applications for print and other graphic media; Communicate effectively and persuasively in written and oral forms in workplace and customer communication Competencies; Apply technical skills, organisational and time-management skills, analytical and constructive cognitive skills, appreciative and judgmental cognitive skills, industry specific competencies and professional work ethics.
