Northland Polytechnic Certificate in Relaxation Massage

Successful graduates of the Northland Polytechnic Certificate in Relaxation Massage will be able to: ? Identify the benefits and contraindications of relaxation massage. ? Demonstrate a range of relaxation massage skills that are supported by a foundation in the theory of massage. ? Demonstrate an understanding of anatomy and physiology. ? Demonstrate a range of interpersonal skills that allow the development of client/practitioner relationships. ? Massage with, awareness and sensitivity to meet the individual needs of their clients. ? Demonstrate a thorough understanding and application of the ethics of relaxation massage practice.

Entry to the programme is by interview by the Programme Manager or designate. The interview is designed to ascertain the applicants suitability, motivation, experience, and ability to perform in the programme. ? Students must be 17 years of age or ol
